The vaccine is a formalized whole culture of Clostridium botulinum types C and D and adsorbed onto aluminum hydroxide gel.


The vaccine is used for active immunization of healthy cattle against botulism caused by Clostridium botulinium types C and D.


The vaccine should not be applied to animals which are 4 weeks after birth and started botulism signs.

Administration and Dosage:

The vaccine is heated to room temperature and should be injected after well mixed. BOTIVAC Vaccine is applied two times as 2 ml each to never previously been vaccinated for cattle with an interval of 14 days to back scapula by subcutaneous way. In previously vaccinated animals, application of 2 ml single dose is enough at interval of 6 months.


  1. The vaccine is applied to only healthy animals.
  2. Vaccine bottle must be mixed at injection time regularly.
  3. Opened bottle of vaccine should be used on the same day.
  4. The applicator should observe rules of asepsis and antisepsis.
  5. Hard swelling at injection site is a normal vaccine reaction.
  6. Immunization time of vaccine is 6 months.
  7. It should be observed to cold chain in vaccine transfer.

The product is applied and followed by the authorities. The producer company is not responsible from results when applies which applied by unauthorized person. If you see an unexpected effect, consult to nearest veterinary surgeon.

Side Effects:

If anaphylactic reactions are occur in hypersensitive animals, preparations of antiallergic, antiadrenergic and antihistaminic can be used.

Storage Conditions:

The vaccine is stored and transferred at 2 °C to 8 °C. Keep from heat and light. Presentation:

The vaccine is packaged in honey colored glass bottles of 20,50,100 and 200 ml volume.

Destruction Conditions:

The vaccine is autoclaved without open the contents at 121 °C for 30 minutes or in incinerator.
