Freeze-dried and Live Attenuated Vaccine against
Sheep & Goat Pox and Peste des Petits Ruminants Disease
Composition:
Each dose of vaccine contains as active ingredients; live attenuated sheep & goat pox virus ≥ 102,5 TCID50 and live attenuated Peste des Petits Ruminants Nig 75/1 virus ≥ 10 2,5 TCID50 and as excipient; 2,5 mg of sucrose and 1,25 mg of lactalbumine.
Indications:
P2 Vac for active immunization against Sheep & Goat Pox and Peste des Petits Ruminants disease.
Contraindications:
None.
Administration and Dosage:
1. The application dose of the vaccine is 1 ml for sheep and goats; applied to the back of the elbow.
2. 2 months aged lambs/kids of unvaccinated mother and 4 months aged lambs/kids of vaccinated mother vaccinated once a year after the first vaccination.
3. When the vaccine will used the lyophilized vaccine diluted with a quantity of liquid as aseptically, rinsed without foaming and added back to the dilution liquid by withdrawing with the injector.
Precautions:
1. The vaccine applied only health animals.
2. The animals vaccinated as aseptic conditions.
3. Local swelling in site of injection and light increase of body temperature are normal vaccine reactions.
4. The diluted vaccine kept against any high temperature and sun light.
5. Not recommended for use in pregnant animals
Shelf Life: 2 years.
Storage Conditions:
The vaccine is stored at +2 ˚C to +8 ˚C (refrigerator conditions)
Withdrawal Period:
0 day.
Presentation:
The vaccine packed in bottles of 25, 50 and 100 ml.
Destruction Conditions:
The vaccine autoclaved without open the contents at 121 ⁰C for 30 minutes and discarded to cesspool. If destruction will make in environment conditions; half and empty vials are boiled in water for 5 minutes and then buried to soil.
