The vaccine is administered to pregnant cows against calf diarrhea caused by Enterotoxygenic Escherichia coli. The calves are not vaccinated.

Composition:

COLIVAC is an inactive vaccine prepared from Escherichia coli EC (0101: H-: K99 +, F41 +) and 11 A (101: H-: K99 +, F (Y) +) strains.

Indication:

The vaccine is administered to pregnant cows against calf diarrhea caused by Enterotoxygenic Escherichia coli. The calves are not vaccinated.

Dosage and Usage:

  • The vaccine is administered to pregnant cows 3, 5, 7.5, and 10 ml, subcutaneously, one to five weeks before their birth.
  • The vaccine bottle should be shaken vigorously before use.
  • Asepsis and antisepsis rules should be followed in vaccine applications.

Side effects:

Some animals may experience mild swelling due to the adjuvant at the injection site. In very rare cases, in cases where hypersensitive reactions are observed in hypersensitive animals, it can be controlled by antiallergic, antiadrenergic and antihistamine preparations.
